This masterplan for an exclusive spa resort on the shores of the Gulf of Guinea and the Volta Delta aims to create a uniquely diverse series of culturally inspired experiences without dominating the environment or ecology of Ada Foa. The visitor experience begins with arrival up-stream and transport by canoe into the resort itself. Reception, restaurants, spa areas and administration are contained within a ‘village’ hidden from view on all coastal approaches. Guests are housed within a number of surrounding ‘villages’ each with its own unique local character and appeal.
