The restrictive ‘open land’ planning designation of a large proportion of this site was turned into its central feature. A wild, open meadow and retained cricket pitch surrounded by a mix of housing types and tenures give this London Zone 3 development an unexpectedly rural air.

The design not only built in amenity and maximised the allowable density but also provided the client with the compelling narrative they needed to sell the concept to a wide range of stakeholders.
